Chris I got an "internet Explorer could not open page".

I had a Subaru that was stuck in second. The shift rods were internal but one end stuck out, so I beat it with a hammer til it moved and never had another problem with it. Yes it was a 'beater'. Ha!

I also have a ribcage that's stuck in neutral...is this common with Midget transmissions?

Dan, what engine and carburetors are in the car? Should be a 948 (9CG) with HS2's (AUD 990's). The stuck carb is a very minor inconvenience, at worst. It should also have the "Smooth Case" transmission in it. I've got three or four of those sitting here should the need arise.
Jeff

I have one as well, no telling on condition though.

I haven't had a chance to check the numbers but I'm assuming that's what I have. It looks like it might have went racing at one time so we'll see.

It has a roll bar, I have reciepts saying the block was bored .040 over, the heaters been removed, I think there are bigger sway bars, there are seat belt mounting eyes in the floor and a couple of other things I've noticed. I've only been able to spend about 2 hours working on it and that was all leaf removal.

I wouldn't say common, but it does happen, usually due to a loose set screw in the shift rods, or a detent being stuck! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif
