John Bolster went on from then to become one of the most familiar voices on television, as he became the BBC commentator for all Motor Racing events including Formula 1, which the BBC covered with a near perfect live coverage history over several decades. John retired eventually and was replaced by Murray Walker, who despite being a very competent and knowlegeable replacement, just didn't have the same "aplomb" that Mr Bolster brought to every occasion.
Roy Salvadori was a British Formula 1 driver who raced for Cooper and Vanwall, and a number of other well-known teams of the 1950s, and he won the 1959 Le Mans 24 Hour race driving an Aston-Martin teamed with Carroll Shelby. This would have been about a year after the short Sprite film was made.
