You folks unlucky enough to live where it's always warm and sunny just can't appreciate how us New Englanders look forward to summer.

Last night in Connecticut we had sleet, hail, freezing rain, then heavy, dense snow until early this morning.

Ah! This morning the temps started rising (it's now 33F) and the snow has turned to freezing rain. And the wind came up.

So here's a view out my kitchen window at 11amEST. And yes, that's a real cloud forming in my backyard. Whee!

Looks great to me. We get those ground-clouds (er, scattered fog I guess) here all the time. There are some times of the year that it can be clear in the morning, then an hour later it looks like we're standing in a cloud on top of a mountain somewhere.

By the way - since yesterday the centeral part of the "sunshine state" has been pummeled with heavy rain, thunderstorms, winds, and tornados. The power has been going off constantly here all day.

The temperature is nice though, it was 69 when I left the house this morning (perfect temp for me, especially with the top down) - with the forecast temps dropping into the mid 30s tonight.
