Spring's almost here

and the warmer weather motivated me to finally install the rebuilt distributor. Got the timing close then had to "phase" it, of course, 'cause the ignition is a Crane. Did the semi-annual transmission top-off and took a quick drive before the rain. It's thundering now.

I had the dizzy converted from vac retard to advance years ago. There was some slop in the module that I tried to fix several times, but without much luck. Jeff fixed all that. There was a slight hesitation problem which is now gone, and the engine pulls better into the top end. I didn't ask for any specifics on the recurving - I figure it's proprietary. He seems to have fixed me up, though. Can't wait until spring!

What spring???? I just spent the day with my John Deere, blowing 15 plus inches of snow out of my driveway.

Yuck. That's why I'm moving back to Florida.

I changed the lifters on my TR7/V8 yesterday, fixed a coolant leak, some other stuff. First autocross event is Sunday, I think that spring has arrived out here in Oregon. Trees in my front yard are budding.
