Spring is in the air

Ouch!

I wuz gonna say it made the Wedge look Japanese... or BRICKlin-like.

I'd keep the black bumpers, Paul.

I'm waiting for my graphic artists (local talent)rendition of the car in photoshop before I make any decisions.

But it does make for a lot of interesting comments which I don't mind at all. That just makes things more interesting.

Paul,

The red TR8 with red bumpers looks a lot better than I had imagined (when I wrote my earlier comment); I think it is worth exploring.

At the bottom right of that group of photos there is a bright yellow TR with yellow bumpers and a Nissan engine; that TR has Alberta plates and was at our Calgary VSCCC car show last July. The workmanship on that resto-mod is impressive. I did not have a chance to talk to the owner but it would be interesting to learn more, out of curiosity.

Here is the car / scheme in question

My first thought was leave the bumpers black, but after seeing the red TR with the bumpers painted I think the bumpers do look better painted to match the body color.

Thank you Randy. I've been out of town on business and my Netbook doesn't deal well with files of any large size, as in pictures being slow to load and send.

That car caught my eye and I think that it just lends a more modern look to the TR8, while still keeping it's original classic lines.

I wish I had a picture of the rear bumper in red, because that is the biggest area of black on the car, especially with the rear quarters coming up to meet it in black.

There will be more to follow over the weekend. Thanks for all of the comments. I appreciate the critique, as some people see things that others including me, do not, so having a variety of perspectives is good, IMHO.

Henri, from what Woody & Clint told me, that yellow Nissan powered car is a screamer.
