It was finally a sunny day here in New England and I got the TR8 back home from storage and all settled back in with the TR6. I'm really looking forward to cruising this year.

Rick, it's not really that good when your foot is to the floor most of the time. Other than that it's not too bad.

Randy, the washers on the strut towers were installed by Mickey, the previous owner as part of an adjustable setup for the struts and alignment. I believe that it all comes as a package. Since it came in perfect alignment to me, I've never had to do much but keep them as clean as when I got them.

David, don't ever get behind the wheel of one, unless you are prepared to get addicted. These are a TR6 on steroids and will make you a real believer, not that you need much help with believing in the marque as it stands now.......

First of all Rick, welcome!

Second, there was a thread recently on fuel mileage and the seems like most people get 25-28 MPG on the highway even when motoring.
 
I had the good fortune of baby sitting a TR8 while a friends house was being built, so was able to drive it. They are fun cars to drive, nothing like my TR6. Paul and Randy have the best looking TR8's I've seen. Even if only in pictures.
 
Going to have to find some Hanger space first though..... :smile:

I was referring to MPG on the TR8. I can't seem to get better than 16 around town (without hotrodding) and maybe a bit over 20 on the highway. The engine is basically stock with a Holley 390 and a Mallory Unilite. Tire pressures @ 30 psi. How are the rest of you doing with your TR8s?

My GT6 falls right into the 25-28 highway mileage.

I have a stock FI TR8. I get 25ish on the freeway and around 18 running around town. In town driving is really subjective and that mileage is dependent on where you live & the number of stop signs, traffic, etc.

That fancy carb probably helps in horsepower....but comes at a cost :smile:

Let me add that I do not calculate the actual mileage. For my summer cars I simply don't care....these are estimates based on fill ups and glancing at the odometer....
