Well we actually are having a nice day here in Connecticut
temps are soaring into the mid 50's!!
((ITS A HEAT WAVE)) :savewave:

So I got the itch to start my Brake job, :hammer:
got the car in the air with the wheels off, drained the M/C, and I'm in the process of removing and replacing all the flex and steel brake lines.
Still need to remove and replace the rear wheel cylinders and pads. while Im at it all fittings will get greased!

progress is a bit slow do to the fact that I haven't worked on the car in 4 months, I already slammed my finger against a tight bolt but I can deal with a few battle scars.

I started the car and she fired right up, so I know she wants to run!

Im still waiting on the aluminum rear drums, but at least I feel like Im doing something positive!

The roads here are a disaster with melting Snow,Ice & Salt, Makes for a Muddy mess!

Did I ever mention "I HATE THE COLD" :wall:

more to come!

48 here in RI, but sunny.

I opened the garage door and window to let the warmer fresh air into the north side garage, so that helped, but the CTek is still charging and the cover is still on.

Way too much salt and ice for me. We had about 10 more inches of snow than you did Bill, then the rain, then the ice formed, so it will be awhile before mine is out. It's OK because I've got tons of other things too do for the next few months.

We've had a good week with temps in the low 60s. Today though, is blowing in a storm. I will take the 7 to work tomorrow. Hope to spend some time today getting the J-H ready for our month end trip to Tucson. Can't wait for a whole weekend topless. Good Luck on the brakes. You'll never miss 'em 'til you've got 'em.

Kodanja, I'll follow your post w/ interest, as I'll be doing this later, perhaps in spring. Are you going to rebuild the PDWA as well? Looking at Paul's site, I ordered the rebuild kit from TRF, and will pick up the Ford switch as well. Good luck, and have fun....

Yup I'm putting in PDWA and everything else that can be replaced.

I figure I'll do everything on the entire brake assembly, that way I wont be worried when Im driving fast and actually NEED to stop!

Ill try to post pix as the job progresses.

BTW: Paul we still have a fair amount of ice and snow on the ground, but their predicting warmer weather in the next week so were hoping most of it melts away!

We all know that picture was taken last summer and not last week.

Paul... you really need to decide where you live...maybe ask your lovely wife? Your signature says MA but you keep saying RI as does your license plate. Come on.....fess up...tell us where you really live.....in case we ever have to "find" you! :driving:

Bill.....I got the exhaust system back on the car today and the speed bleeders installed along with a new NAPA fuel pump. Hit the key and she fired right up and settled into a nice idle. Of course I'm still on jack stands until I get the wheels on and the axle nuts on the new CVJs torqued down. Maybe this week I can get her down off of the jack stands.

I'll be moving soon. I just got the jump on the signature change.

It's only one mile away, but in MA rather than RI.

Don't worry, I'll give you the secret coordinates when you, Al and the purist come up to play golf this summer.

Was 8 degrees Celsius (45 F) up here yesterday and I went to visit my baby in storage. I hadn't been in about 6 weeks and during that time temperatures reached as low as -30 C. The car is in indoor but unheated storage....didn't know if it would start or not. Turned the quick disconnect on the battery and she fired right up. I felt like taking her for a drive, but that will have to wait for another 6-8 weeks......

Here she is in warmer times.......

Great time to buy a house IF you can sell your existing one. Congrads on the move. Is MA as taxed as CT? :winner1:

We're in New England. The land of Taxes, taxes and more taxes.

Funny, I thought that the millions and millions that they pull from the lottery and the casinos were going to lower taxes? Living proof why giving more money to government is a bad idea. The more they get, the more they spend and it never, ever goes away.

Sorry, bad rant..............

Less a rant than a "Universal Truth" Paul.

Have you guys ventured into "The Political"?
