SPRIDGTECH BONNET INSTL..

A couple of weeks ago I received my new Sptifgetech Bugeye Bonnet along with a sketch on how to do the modifications for tilt forward hinges, without bumper. I have a tilt forward, with bumper kit, and I have no problem figuring out make these modifications so it will work that way.
Just want to ask if anyone has done this type of inst'l and any "tips" and "be careful ofs" before I start. I promised myself that I would finish my electric fuel pump instl, on my other BE (today) before I start the bonnet thing.

FYI: The bonnet looks like a very good product and Rod Hahnemann the owner of Spridgetech is very helpful and delivered as promissed. Can't beat that.

More later on progress

I used Spridgetech racing fiberglass and find it to be of good quailty. I worked with fiberglass a long time with the SCCA cars, and I can tell you that Spridgetech's quailty is better than most, plus Rod is a really nice guy. Donn, drop Rod a email, his website is kinda of low tech, but he can answer anything you want to know and even has a forum on site for you to ask him questions. Spridgetech is one of those places like Winners Circle where these guys have all kind of Spridget goodies but not so great websites, we racers know all about them, but information has leaked slower to the street Spridget crowd.

I can tell you that I paid just under $600 and about $200 or so freight to Bellevue WA. Happy with the product, workmanship and service.

Wow! That's cheap. Is that for the "street" bonnet of the "race" bonnet?

Contact Rod Hahnemann. Seems like a good guy.

I am just saying that as I remember, that is what I paid. He will quote you a good price and he also shipped the cheapest way to my area, arrived just fine.

There is definately an advantage to just going over and picking it up.

So here's what I found in Nørrebro, about 3 miles from where I live.
New fiberglass bonnet, 2800 kr = $511.70
Minilite wheels with Bridgestone tires for 900 kr each = $164 (Minimania wants $190 for just the wheel)

So I guess I might just get some of that stuff.

This guy Jens Peter is involved in the local racing community Historic Motor Sport and has a coupe bashed Bugeye bonnets for sale for too much money. But he has good shipping contacts to England

I thought a Coke cost 2800 kr where you are. That's a good deal.
