Spridgets on Film

Why? It was fun to see how the cars were often used to convey something about the character in a film, much like their clothing or manner of speech. For instance, I found this about "Harry O's" Sprite:

"I sorta liked Harry O's car, brought in because the network DEMANDED he get a car. So the writers made sure the car, an old Austin-Healy Sprite, was battered and almost always broken, in the shop or on its way there, in need of repair and a little care. Sorta like Harry himself."

Ialso started a similar thread on the big Healeys: https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcf/showthread.php?94264-Pourquoi-viens-tu-si-tard

And if you want to know "how" I found the films, it was just a matter of going to https://imcdb.org/, searching through the films and then locating the film, usually on YouTube. Only took a few minutes to edit the film for the relevant scenes.

Sorry, I meant to "HOW" did you find them all.

Ha...Got it , Rick....just wish my family would let me join you on that road!!

Kurt.

The Wrong Arm of the Law (1963)

In
London, a gang of criminals from Australia led by Jack Coombes (Bill Kerr) impersonate policemen to carry out robberies. Local gang leader "Pearly" Gates (Sellers), who operates from the cover of a French couturier, finds his takings cut severely, and blames rival crook "Nervous" O'Toole (Bernard Cribbins). When it emerges that they are both being scammed by the same gang, they join forces, along with Lionel Jeffries' Police Inspector "Nosey" Parker, to bring the so-called "I.P.O. mob" (I.P.O. - Impersonating a Police Officer) to justice. Nanette Newman provides the love interest, the ubiquitous John Le Mesurier plays a senior policeman, and a young Michael Caine has a small and uncredited role as a young PC

Love it! "They've spotted us." yeah because there is only one other car on the road and you've been tailgating them for the past five miles <snicker>
