Spridget transmission in the boot of a Jensen Healey

Hey guys. I don't post here much since I seem to be the only Jensen Healey guy in the forum, but I have something that may be of interest to you Spridgetites. If nothing else, maybe you can tell me what I have.

I purchased a very very rusty Jensen Healey last week to strip the few usable parts off of it. There was no engine or transmission, but the seller said "the tranny is in the trunk". I took a look and thought "that is NOT a JH tranny, but whatever...". So, after I got it home, I did a little research and it appears that it may be from a Midget or Sprite (or maybe a Minor, the Internet was a little hazy on details). It is stamped with MOWOG in a few places, and the part number 2A 3368 BCC. Pics below. Anyone want to confirm or deny what this is?

Thanks, that's the answer I was looking for. Googling "smooth case Sprite transmission" came up with this eBay listing which looks identical (except for red overspray instead of green):

Is it worth anything to anyone? I have no idea how long it's been sitting, what kind of condition it's in, etc. Once I'm done stripping the rest of what I can save from the parts car which started this whole conversation, the car is going off to the recyclers. I hate to toss the transmission in with it if it's usable, but I have no use for it.

Can't tell you what it's worth, but if you have people beating your door down to purchase it, I have a smooth case and a ribbed case tranny that I would love to sell that are taking up too much space in my small garage.

Griz

Me to a Smoothcase, rib case, and a 210 going into my BE build. Smooth case to be sold with my parts BE.

I've got a couple...don't think it has a lot of value...especially untested.

Kurt.

I've seen them made into bar stools. Might be nice in a man cave.

Well, it doesn't sound like there's any value there from what everyone is saying. I guess I'll run it by the guys in the local British car club and if no one wants it, I'll just leave it in the boot when the rest of the car goes over to the recycling yard and get my 7 cents a pound or whatever they are paying these days. I certainly don't need it.
