Spridget Car Clubs?

Just wondering if anyone is a member of the Austin Healey Club of America or if you guys know anything about it. There was an ad in the paper down here advertising the Golden Gate Healey club which apparently is an off-shoot of the above club. Do they even cater to Sprites?

I'm finding that maybe it might be a good idea to join a club where I can have someone with some working knowledge physically look at my car.

Do you guys belong to any other car clubs?

I belong to my local multi-marque britiish car club. There are about 80 members, and about 8 or 9 spridgets.

I have a Sprite and belong to the Cascade Austin Healey Club in Washington. If memory serves me right, the San Diego club had a Sprite on the cover of their magazine in the past couple of months. The car was owned by the club president, so Cascade must not be the only Healey group welcoming Sprites.

I went to a few meetings of the AH Cleveland, OH chapter and thought all were nice people -- but 90% had big healey's. Not much use for me for tech info. I met a guy filling up his midget one day at the gas station and told me about the MG club. MGB's & Midget's (yes, 2 guys in 40 year old cars accidentily fill up at the same time - go figure). Much more helpful for my needs (and closer to my house).

I frequently chase down midgets and sprites and recruit them into our local british car club. I once was late to an important meeting because of doing this. So far, I have "cornered" six spridgets and two have since joined the club. (my wife thinks I'm crazy).
