I was lurking around on Jay Leno's site, and came across this Spray-On Chrome Process. This could prove to be a nice alternative to some of those smaller chrome pieces that need redoing. They didn't mention what this stuff costs and where it's available. The guy's website is in Germany...I haven't ventured there yet.

Edit: No real info on their website. I have a funny feeling this process is not for the DIYer.
 
I've read of this in a recent body shop trade magazine. They displayed it at the SEMA show this year. It's not just super shiny silver paint. It's really chrome.
Gotta be similar to the process toy companies use to plate the plastic parts.

That looks exactly like a product you can get from Alsa here in California. Check out their Killer Chrome
