Taking the dog to the beach this afternoon in Geraldton WA and about 40 odd old Bentleys drive past!
Caught up with one of the owners, (there here from all over the world) their on there way to Darwin!
Most of these were those rare as old chitty chitty bang bang Bentleys!
 
Geez.
I kept thinking, where in the world is Geraldton Washington? (WA).

Then I saw the "OZ" in your sig line, and Western Australia.

I'll quit searching...

I say there, old chap, don't you know that all Chitty Bang Bangs were Mercedes chassis? Bentleys, none of it sir - pistols at dawn?
 
I know someone in Sydney with a couple of old RR's. And as noted, there is an emphasis on drivng the cars without the obsessive concern about keeping them pristine or even making non-original modifications, if done in the interest of keeping the car in running order.
 
In DC the local chapter is called the "Rolls-Royce Owners' and Bentley Drivers' Club".

Unrelated to old Bentleys and RRs...

I lived in DC a few lifetimes ago and recall going to a BMC dealership to buy parts for my Morris Minor. Can't remember the name, but it was a large dealership on one of the main arteries heading out from DC into MD.
