spotted this today

Why would the picture a beautiful TC in their brochure and then make a kinda-TD/TF-ish knock-off??

I like the Fury... kind of Ace'ish.

As in Men-Ace?

.... it would be neat if there was an equivalent kit available today to mount on a common chassis, just like all those VW kit cars of days past. What chassis would be sensible? What kits are out there that meets these criteria?

The Fiero chassis has been used for a number of kits, some fairly unique. PISA in arizona comes to mind. Most of them are flashy ala' italian style.

The Miata is probably the next common chassis for the kit car market. Not sure if anyone is doing a complete re-body yet, though.

There used to be one company basing a ferrari daytona kit on an MGB chassis. Not sure if they are still around.

my favorite is the "locost". but that's not based on an existing chassis. Of course, I dig the JZR trikes, too.

There have been a few Ferrari kits for the TR7/8 wedge body as well. Mostly F40-ish /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif
