Spokane Race Track, has anyone been there?

Since our local track shut down a few years ago now, I've been craving some racing action but there's no road course anywhere near here... Apparently some of the Calgary vintage racers have been making the drive to Spokane and tell me it's a good track...

Not sure how viewing/photography is, many tracks seem to be moving toward a model where only the drivers are allowed to go (ie. essentially a private event), I have heard of people coming in as members of the "pit crew"

Hello Sherlock -

I've raced at the Spokane, Wa track. Missed last years event, but made the 2013 Festival and pitted with Larry Patterson campaigning his Austin Healey 100-4 LeMans, from Alberta, if memory serves. Nice track, great local support of the event. We had a good time, but it rained all day Sunday which shorted our track time.

I've met Larry, he lives here in the Calgary, I believe just outside Calgary to be technical... Here he is racing at our (now demolished) local track...

Thanks for the response, maybe... If I ever get my act together, craving racing action, it's been too long now since the last lap at our local Race City venue...

Cool, you guys have a real race track in Spokane. In the late 70s and early 80s I raced at the Deep Park airport with the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs. It was a fun track, concrete so rough you could run slicks in the rain and if the grass had not been mowed around the corners, then they were basically blind. Being an airport, it was flat like PIR, a little boring compared to Seattle and the old Westwood track.
Now living in central Alabama, enjoying Barber Motorsports Park, Road Atlanta, and VIR. I need to get down to the track in New Orleans.
Man, I miss road racing!
