Splined Hub Tool

Hi,

Someone probably sells a tool for removing the 1 5/16 axle nut inside the splined hub but I made one relatively easy. Took .050 off a Proto 1 5/16 deep well 1/2" drive socket and works great with the air impact wrench. Finding that you have to make a lot of tools when working on an old car.

Now it's called a "Cow Tool"!!! :jester:

MacGyver any tool for a specific purpose. One drawer of my box is full of nothing BUT specific purpose thingies. Some are "Genuine Factory" ones, others are bent/ground/cut for the job they do.

Well done John!

Just go to Craftsman & order one - it fits.

an air wrench?

Yep, 1-15/16" 3/4 drive Craftsman socket with a 1/2" adapter on my 1/2" air impact driver.....takes 'em off; puts 'em on.....didn't have to do anything to the outside dimensions of the socket.
