Spitfire vs Sprite Vintage Racing

Sprite driver needs to go back to school. He was all over the track and did not protect his line at the end of the straights. Also did not plan ahead when there was trafic.

Could I do better, prob not.

Yup, Jack. I'm invincible when I'm racing my barstool. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

From the clip, I'd say the spitfire was handling better and had a better driver, but the sprite seem to have "longer legs".

Yes...I'd agree (although it's impossible to tell if they were just fooling around or not).

Whatever, it looked like fun! Two more months for me before I get back into it.

Generally, Spridgets and Spits are pretty even if prepped about equal. But since there's less restrictions on engines in vintage, some guys will build "killer" motors.
There's a guy who runs with me in vintage who has an 1147 Spit that is so fast it's unbelievable. Even faster MGBs can't hold with him in the straights.

It's neat that these two fellows collaborated on that video.

Yep, enjoyed it very much. Got to live vircarously (sp) at my age.

Don't know much about racing, but it seemed kinda staged to me.

Regardless of staged or not, well put together film though! Nice splicing of the passing from car to car!!
