Spitfire Spitfire turn signal switch

I am looking to source a new turn signal switch for an early Spitfire. I have seen genuine Lucas units, and both cheap and expensive repros. Any input regarding the best choice would be most appreciated.

Get the real thing, if it lasted 50 years how many more do you think you might need? If used spray with clearer and check the soldier connections, they may need a touch up and sand the bullet connectors with "O" steel wool.

Do you still have the original? If so, what is the Lucas part number on it? I recommend trying to find an NOS or good used switch if possible. And there are a few variants even of originals, with variables of length and also whether there might be one or two "bumps" on the column canceling cam.
