Spitfire Spitfire Plug recommendations?

I am going to put new plugs in my 79 Spitfire this weekend and wanted to know if anyone here had a specific plug/temp that they found worked well. I'm not sure how much it will matter, but the engine has a .30 overbore and flat pistons, a mild race cam and a Webber carb...

Otherwise I will just replace with what is currently in the car, which I don't know offhand...

Thanks!

Mike

I have been using whatever NGK plug the parts houses recommend for severl years and they are fine. My old TR3 responded well to some old type of Champion plug that was hard to find.

I wouldn't bother with the 2s or 4s, the regular platinums will be fine. NGK and champion work well also. Ive yet to try the vpower version of the ngk, but i think i will use them on my new spit. As far as heat range, you're going to have to read the ones that are in there now and go from there.

Turns out Bosch does not make a 2 or 4 for the Spit, so I ended up with the NGK Vpowers...just put them in tonight and went for a spin and everything seems great...
