Spitfire Spitfire or TR6 for sons first car?

The car looks great and the video brought back a lot of memories of my wife's 1968 Spitfire Mk3. Even with having my TR4A (and those being our only 2 cars back in the 80s in our 20's), I enjoyed driving the Spitfire as well and I'm sure your son will also.

Cool car, lucky son. When I was 17 I had $800 to buy an MGA. My dad forbade it.

The car came out great and the fact he put so much work into it makes it unlikely he'll take it for granted. My first car was a bugeye Sprite and I still remember how striking the smells like fresh cut lawns, flowers, and even cow pastures were. Still one of the high points of driving a convertible.
