I've been thinking of selling the TR6,& looking
at a cheaper replacement. Those two come to mind.
Can I get some ideas of which one would be the
one to buy?
Also, any other ideas (remember - affordable).

Cheaper. It's paid for ain't it?
can't get cheaper than that.
If you buy a new car you will have to title it and stuff.
Your in the hole already

Personally, I'd say to sell the TR6 and just use the MGB GT for a while. Let the finances settle.

As for Spridgets vs Spitfires, both are neat little cars with plenty of plusses for either. Make sure you can fit in a Spridget, they're a bit tight (though I fit reasonably well at 6'1"). Spitfires have more room. Neither car is fast, though they can be made fast with copious amounts of cash.

Less is more, Doug. Sell that TR6 and you've still got a nice classic to enjoy for a while. After some time your budget will heal and you could consider something else to play with.

Doug - how many cars do you already have?

You've been talking recently of cutting back. If you sell the TR6 (or whatever), what's the reason for getting something else?

Just a thought.

Sell the TR6, get the anglia up and running...Late bodystyle Spite-fire, with OD and a hard top makes a nice enough car. Spridgets are more fun, but not a great long distance car. (not that have not been used for that) I like earlier spridget seats better, more room, and still comfortable. My 2 cents anyway.

I've owned both and it's a really tough decision.

Drive both, then decide.

I currently have a MK IV Midget and it's a blast, but so was my Spitfire.

Let us know . . .

I'm with Drew on this one - all your previous conversations are telling us your cars are causing you stress. Keep a (one) driver. Keep a (one) project - drive the driver while you play with the project. When you have the project done you can decide about what to do next.

:savewave: Fix the Anglia. I want to know about the Anglia. Show us the Anglia. Anglia, Anglia, Anglia. Do I hear an A...N...G? L...I...A.?..WHAT'S THAT SPELL?
