Spitfire Spitfire MK3 Available

A couple of weeks ago, I was at a local self service salvage yard and there was a MK3 spitfire. It was getting pretty picked over, but the body was still pretty darn good. I told them to notify me before they smashed it. Fast forward a couple weeks and I get the call. I went back "just to look" and brought the whole thing home. I couldn't bear to see a good rust free body get crushed. I'm going to grab a few parts off it for my car (wire wheel hubs) but will have a pretty complete body to spare. It isn't quite a sand and paint it job but if anyone wants a body and frame where they don't have to worry about rust, this is the one. It has nice doors. I also have a bonnet for it as well as a boot lid. There are also a pair of seats.
It is located in northern Colorado, but I could crate it for shipping. If you want more details, PM me and I will send you a bunch of pictures and a more detailed description. I'll probably lose money on the deal, but this one is just too straight and rust free to crush. I need stuff for the MK3 I'm keeping, so trades are possible too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Bruce -- I have forwarded your message to a TR enthusiast here in Arizona who might be interested. Just to let you know if you hear from a Jim B. in Phoenix that he is an okay guy.

Thanks for saving another one (I hope).
