Other than the "Big 2" MOss and VB, does nayone know of any other good sources (US) for complete new Spitfire Interior? I've decided to change from my current Tan interior (which is badly worn) to a Black interior.
Thanks for all the options guys. As for price versus quality - well, it is a Spitfire, not the EType, so I'm not going to sink huge bucks into it if I can help it. But it['s worth shopping around to find somethign that will be decent quality but at a semi-reasonable price. If I were doing my Jag I would be looking for quality first and price second.
I didn't see any Spitfire-related photos or other references on the Heritage Trim web site, but that doesn't mean they don't make stuff for the Spitfire.
Arguably one of the very best suppliers in the UK is Newton Commercial. I've not seen any of their Spitfire interiors in person, but I have seen some of their Herald interiors, which are excellent and virtually indistinguishable from original!
They've already been mentioned but I wanted to add a hearty recommendation for Spitbits. They have lots of little stock parts I haven't seen anywhere else, a well organized website with exploded part drawings, they ship fast, and when I spoke to them on the phone, Nigel (with a British accent)was knowledgeable and helpful.
Basil - I know you said "US" for suppliers, but I would have to mention Owen Lloyd at Parklane. Owen does great door cards, dashtops, arm rest etc, and he has got into seat covers and foams now. Seems like well priced, even with additional shipping cost.
Been busy on my JMA '79: pull off the rad, shrouds, pump/ housing, painted it. Going to do the cooling system; still need to get the heater control valve. Got a lightly used radiator off eBay Weds, so the little blue beast should run cool. Have to cut new engine valance panels from some corrugated sign board: black alminum , plastic corugation then another sheet of the black aluminum. If I can cap it with a 1/4 inch aluminium u chanel, it should be as nice as it gets, I think. If I ever figure out how to upload pictures, (someday, maybe durring a snow storm when I have time), I'll shoot some photo up to the forum, if the TR6 boys dodn't mind....
