Spitfire Spitfire Diff Pinion Seal?

Hi

Is is possible to replace the diff front pinion oil seal without removing the diff frum the car or removing the front 'wing' of the diff?

Yes, it's quite possible. But before you do that, ensure that the "jiggle pin" area in the vent atop the rear "ear" mount of the differential is free of grime and grunge, and that the pin is free to move. That's the vent; when plugged, pressure buildup can force gear oil out wherever it can find a place to do so, typically the front pinion seal. No guarantee that cleaning up that area will eliminate all leakage, but it's an easy job (much more so than replacing the seal)!
