I need some opinions on cam bearings for a Spitfire MK2. I am in the process of doing a ground up restoration on a 1966 Spitfire MK2. The engine I have for the car does not have cam bearings as the later engines do. My question, is there an advantage to having the block bored out for cam bearings, or should I leave it as is? I do not plan to race the car, it will be a driver.
