/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gifQuestion for you guys. I have a set of 15" race tires I want to run on my Spitfire. Anyone here know of any other wheels from another car can be used? Thanx. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Check out Keizer, Weld Racing, Circle Racing, Kodiak, Diamond, Revolution, Compomotive, Circle Track - they can all make wheels with the proper dimensions (width/offset/backspace) and bolt pattern for our cars. You can find their ads in the back of SportsCar and GrassRoots Motorsport, and most of them are on the web.

Other cars with the same 4 x 3.75” PCD
Austin: Marina
Lotus: Elan, Europa, Seven
Triumph: Herald, Spitfire, GT6, Vitesse, TR7, Dolomite
MG: Metro, Montego, Maestro, MGF
Formula Ford Racers

Hello FKT,
I thought I had posted but it somehow missed.
The TR5\TR6 use 15" wheels and should have the same PCD. I can't comment on the offset though.

Alec

I think the TR 2-6 have 4x4.25" PCD, I know they aren't the same as the Spit/GT6.

I have a set of 100+ Octava rims that are apparently are a popular BMW 2002 aftermarket rim so The 4 bolt BMW wheels might fit. (only 13" but very light)

Hi Frank, Went to your Webshots, WOW, what a killer of a car, I am overwhelmed with your foresight in seeing the potential of this little beast, uh not beauty but function. What kind of horses power are you going to use to drag this (THING) down the street. We did a RX7 rotary. Good Luck, Wayne P.S. 15 inch wheels might be a problem except in a straight line.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gifThanx for the replies. I was looking for the 15's because I have some auto-x tire that are that size. I'm planning on "making them fit." Oh well, nothing easy here. I'm not sure this "car" is going to be used for much more than a template. I found a car out by the guy who's building my rearend that is most likely to be it's replacement. https://www.grmotorsports.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=5853 It's a better starting point anyway. It's a done deal for the Spit, all I need to do is pick it up. The TR4 is still for sale as far as I can tell. If any of you guys are intrested in the 4 and live somewhere between PA and MI, I can help out in delivery! Thanx for the inputs! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
