Spitfire Spit top replacement question

Well this morning I went down and removed the trashed top. The frame is in very good shape. Ill cut straight to the chase: when installing the new top, I suppose I will have to remove the rivets from the header and the retainer bar and re rivet the new top, correct? Any advice on this. They don't look like typical rivets, any of you know procedure for this?
Thanks!

Can this be done with small screws? Someones got to have had there top replaced at some point. Any info would be helpful.

i think will go to very small screws on header rail atleast. I think it would make it easier in future if top needed to come off. I wonder if you can do the same with snaps? I might try to work something out hehe. I gotta be inventive with this one.

If you mean the "male" portion of the snap on the body, yes. If you mean the "female" portion on the top itself, and whatever top you get requires that you install same, most any hardware store will have the tool to make fitting the snaps easier.

Thanks for the tips! I hope to be doing the top in about 2 weeks. Ive exhausted my budget at the moment.
