spin-on oil filters

I'm thinking about replacing the canister oil filter on my BJ8 with a spin-on from Moss, etc. I have heard in the past this can reduce precious oil pressure in healeys. I think lots of healey owners have made the switch. Whats the verdict?

No problem with my BN2. In fact I've been considering lowering my oil pressure a bit as it runs at about 70 psi at 3 grand going down the highway. Idle is 35 to 40. I've got both a spin on filter with a thermo bypass valve, and an oil cooler up front.
