I spent the day yesterday, scrubbing and scraping and wire brushing and applying por-15 and then a coat of Rusoleum over it all. I mixed a bit of red into the blue to give me a purple. It won't be the same as the outside but my wife assures me the outside will be some sort of purple :wink: Now to clean and put lots of stuff back on and get it running before real cold weather gets here.

Careful ... there were purple Midgets. And at least one person on this forum has a purple engine. :wink:

I know, when the woman's happy, everybody's happy and when the woman isn't happy, nobody's happy.

Having said that.... I'm really sorry, but in my house this situation would of meant that nobody was happy for a while.
 
Wow. Purple? I agree, if the Mrs. is happy that's all that matters.

Coincidentally, I spent the day stripping the paint off the Spitfire bonnet with hopes to have it ready for primer late in the week.
 
Well, its not going to be just plain purple on the outside. It will be something different. I am really looking hard at the Alsa "purple haze" pearl right now or House of Kolor has another one I am looking at. I wanted to use a lighter purple on the inside so that its easier to see in there and I like rustoluem because sooner or later you are going to be pulling and engine or other work in there and its easy touch up for all that.
