While I like the original Sprites quite as they are, those Speedwell Sprites are very pretty. Ah, where's the lottery win when you need one.

There was an original Speedwell Sprite at Elkhart Lake vintage "Hawk" races in July and I talked extensively with the owner. It appears that no one know's where that windscreen came from. Some think it was the rear screen from some obscure British car. His had been replaced with plexi. The car had originally been owned by a British journalist with no racing history.

Sounded like the interviewer barely knew what a car is. Beautiful car though. Gotta love those lines.

The windscreen looks extremely similar to what you will find on a MGA Coupe (assuming a tad smaller given the perceived differences in size).
