TR6 Speedometer Part TVR/TR-6

I've got a question on a 1974 TVR speedo which is the same as the TR-6. It is a one piece cable and is connected at the gauge by a plastic snap on collar. The collar is broken. Does anyone know where I can find one of these?
Thanks in advance!
Bruce

I had a 74 tvr, from what I remember the speedo and tach were different than the TR6, they were smaller and the tach was electronic instead of mechanical. Both cables on TR6 are screw on--no snap collar. Probably need to contact a speedo repair who does Smith gauages.

Hey Bruce! As Allan said that's not a TR6 speedo (it's smaller, uses a clip-on cable instead of screw-on, and doesn't have indicators inside the gauge). Last May there was a discussion about this on the usa-tvr list and Barry Rowe said that there is a clip used on Chevy speedos that works. If you email him he may be able to give you more info.

Hayden & Allan,
Thanks for the info. I thought the speedo was the same as a TR-6, but as usual, I'm wrong...)! I learn something new everyday!

Bruce, easy to think that, there are many TR6 parts on a 74 TVR, like the headlights, taillights, many interior parts, suspension parts, underhood parts (engine and trans too)and even the bumpers are modified tr6 bumpers.
