Finally got a cable for my speedometer... thing is, once it won't go past 30mph even though I am going faster!

Any ideas?

Thanks
Tony

Broke? Try it with a varable speed drill on the end.

Check the "pinion" gear inside the transmission too. I bought and replaced my cable (used jack's drill trick) and it still didn't work. There is a screw that holds a little forked bracket on the transmission that hold the pinion gear. Easy to replace and works great!!!

Try looking at this. Helped get the "new unit" functioning

I had a broken speedometer pinion gear in a Rustang that had this same problem.
