TR2/3/3A Speedometer glass removal to access needle and face plate?

Chrome ring and black trim ring have been removed. It seems there is a rubber gasket holding the glass in place. How is this rubber gasket removed without damaging it? I can run a thin screwdriver around the perimeter where it meets the metal casing but it is hard to tell how wide this rubber gasket is and if I will damage it. Almost like it's stuck to the casing. It would seem that once this gasket is removed the glass could be carefully pried out. Any thoughts? Karl

Oh I see that by removing the 2 rear screws on the back plate and the odometer spindle with the knurled knob that the whole assembly can be pushed forward to to unseal the glass. Going to check how gummed up with old grease the number cylinders are.(y)
