Speedo Help Needed ! Please Identify this clip !!

I removed my TR4 Speedometer to clean it and the clip in the photo sprung loose when I pulled out the speedo. Can someone tell me what this clip is and how it hooks back up? It appears to have a brown/yellow and a white wire connected to what may be some sort of resistor plate on back side of the clip. I might have the wire colors wrong but they are fairly dirty. The clip does not have a hole through the resistor plate. I hope someone can identify this and help me put it back together properly. A photo of the cleaned speedo is added to show how nice that turned out. The tach used to look 10 times better than the speedo and now looks slightly dusty in comparison. All help is appreciated.

I believe I have this figured out. Correct me if I'm wrong but this appears to be the red warning lamp socket that I thought the PO removed because the housing has been empty. This clip must have slipped down and got wedged by the speedo only to spring loose when I removed that. Does it look like all I need is a new bulb and that too can be working again?

Gauges look great! And if I remember correctly, my TR3 had those as well - for the turn signal indicator and the ignition warning lamp. I's a bulb socket that slides into the colored plastic lens/holder. Tension clips on the side hold it in place. If you have a wiring diagram, you can tell which one it's for, but it sounds like you've got it figured out. Hook a voltmeter up to it and turn the ignition on; it should light up.

What did you use to clean the gauges and get the lettering so white again? They look great!
