I have a catalog from about 8 years or so ago from SICP for my XJ6. Has any one heard from then again. I remember their prices being excellent but the last I spoke with them I thought I remember mention of them closing. Has anyone ever used them or know of their where abouts or if they are in existance?

I used them years ago also, but I'm not sure if they are around any longer.

It's a shame. They were very knowledgable and helpful.

I did a Google and found their old 800 number. When I called it I got a sexy female voice asking if I'd met any fun people lately, then giving me another number for some online dating service /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I also found a reference that said SICP had gone out of business in January 2000. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

Did you hook up with anyone? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

I still have the old catalog for reference. What is the best place to find XJ6 parts and do they have a catalog?

I think Moss does but I have not checked in some time.

So we do not call that number by mistake could you list it here? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

I bought TONS of stuff from them over the years. When they were shutting down they called to tell us about it and asked if we were interested in buying what was left. Got a BUNCH of parts for Jags and MG's for cheap. The windshield I just put in the B here was behind my couch for years "on standby" for the rebuild. $20!! And it's the tinted one. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Didn't buy any spare XJ6 parts did ya?

We concentrated on the pre-'68 bits, E-Type and MGB. We didn't have many XJ clients.

When I bought my first XJ6, the 1986 SIII, I used www.jagbits.com and www.jaggraveyard.com (ebay store for them also). Since then, I usually check ebay for a price range, then go to the catalogues, such as Moss, and mainly Terry's Jaguar (google them and get their catalogue). Engle or Ingel Imports bought up a lot of the NOS parts when the old BMC went out, and they are very helpful by phone. As a matter of fact, the lady I spoke with at Ingel wrote the XJ Catalogue for Moss before leaving them (I gathered over frustration and part number reference issues, trouble obtaining permission, etc.) I rarely use Moss for Jaguar as they are new with the XJ Series and have little for the Series II, which is all I own now. Try any of those and google for "Jaguar XJ6 parts online order catalogue" or something to that effect and you'll find a number of sources. Best of luck!

Forgot to mention XK's Unlimited.. don't let the name fool you, great service and lots of XJ parts and very helpful phone staff.... order/request their catalogue as well.

Brian

Thanks. I'll take a look at those sites.
