Spec. Needed for 1275 Line-boring - "Housing Bore"

The machine shop wanted to know the 'Housing Bore' for the 1275 engine to do a line-bore.

It's also referred to as the housing bearing O.D.

I searched on the Web...can't locate it. Anybody know it?

First thing to do is get all the parts and pieces you have at that "machine shop" and remove them to a competent shop.

They should be TELLING you ..not ASKING you.

I agree with Jerry, all that info is in any bearing book, and if a machine shop doesn't have a bearing book, run as fast as you can.

Think I'll be switching shops.
HAP -open a franchise up in NJ/PA area. We need it!

I think Nial has one in North Western NJ, Newton or Sparta?, I would check with him.

Call Pete at 973-383-8859. He is in the area of Fredon, NJ.
He does not do this type of machine work himself, but he has a buddy down the street (Rich J.) that does it.
Rich is good with Brit cars and Porsches.
Rich did my block and it has worked out great

Thanks everyone. I found a new machine shop nearby, that when I mentioned the line-bore for a 1275 he knew all about and the scroll and its importance on oil leaks.

Dropping it off this Saturday.
