Speaking of Style-Bars....

I remember we had a discussion on style bars not *too* long ago (maybe 2 months ago?). I wanted to post these to that thread back then, but had lost the link to them. It seems the guy selling them has more up for sale again. This is definitely the most "stylish" of the style bars I've seen, but not "period correct" for our cars, I don't think. Anyways, I happen to like the style of this bar, but I doubt there's any appreciable added "safety" with it either. One major problem I see using this particular bar (at least on my '76) is it'll block access to the stock battery box....

Yeah, I'd rather go QUICK.

I saw a similar hooped "style-bar" from the UK that had a lot better hard points than that one does.

But like you said I don't think the hoop style really works well with our Bs.

But, Bret, I think it'll look good on my V8 car!

maybe. Then again you're V8 car isn't your average B nor does it look like a 'vintage' B anymore. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Did you relocate your battery in the V8 car? The mounting system on that style bar looks like it'll interfear with the battery compartment lid on single battery cars....

Haven't yet...I'm waiting to see exactly which bar I'll use but it won't be that one

Yeah, wasn't there one that floated above the rear deck?

If I have to, I'll just make my own...I've a friend wo has a tube bender
