I once sat in a booth at a very good BBQ joint in Charleston SC that was signed by Al Roker.

All three!

A good guess you were dining at Sticky Fingers in Charleston, SC...

The Montgomery Inn in Cincinnati, OH has an impressive collection of signatures both sports legends and politicians...

I have a hat signed by Brian Redman and a glass signed by Vic Elford.

Also, I have "The Duct Tapes" signed by Ed Hertfelder which I got from him after we started on the same number at the Sandy Lane Enduro (he also let me rub his little bald head for good luck......it's an enduro thing; you'd have to be there).

I've met Burt Rutan and had a real nice chat with Bob Hoover, but no signed stuff.
I've met one of the other female ATA pilots from WW II. I think it was Florence Reynolds, but it was a long time ago.

Also chatted with Phil Hill, John Fitch, Gerry Coker and Trevor Wilkinson , but again, no autographs (I have a photo of me and Wilkinson and another of me and Coker).

I have a note signed by Peter Egan (after I sent him photos from our Watkins Glen event). Had a great chat with him about Aeroncas and British cars.

I'm very impressed by the signing by Norman Dewis and the stuff John (coldplugs) and Dave Reese have.

One funny thing: when I was at the PVGP, people asked ME to sign autographs. :jester:

Is that Trevor of TVR or Trevor of Fret Kings?

The only autograph I ever got was from Jackie Stewart.
He was at Ford's 100th anniversary,in Dearborn,Michigan.
There were also a lot of Nascar drivers signing, but I
have no interest in that.
My personal feeling is that an autograph really doesn't
have much meaning unless there's a personal attachment to it -
like you had a decent conversation with that person, did them a
favor,etc.
That being said,I'd still like to meet Peter Egan & Jay Leno.

I have Stirling Moss' "My Cars, My Career" signed by the great man, and a copy of "War Eagles" which details 71 Squadron RAF, made up of Americans, in the Battle of Britain by James Childers. This is signed by one of "the Few", Jim "Jerko" Gray.

In 1955 my father gave me "Stirling Moss's Book of Motor Sport", a boy's book by "The Boy" as he was called back then.
In 2005, on the 50th Anniversary of his great Mille Miglia triumph, Sir Stirling autographed it for me.

The TVR Trevor; not the guitar guy. I met him around '97 at a TVR meet here in NJ.
I figured, though I thought I'd check. I have a couple Wilkinson parts on the guitar I built a couple years ago (not signed).

Watercolor of Daytona Coupe with Phil Hill behind the wheel. Signed by Carrol Shelby, Bob Bondurant, Phil Hill, Dave Friedman, Dan Gerber and Augie Pabst. Bobby Rahal's book with his scribble, Several photography books signed by the photographers.

I was always too involved in taking photos to ask for signatures.
