MGA Speaking of MGA interior kits....

MG Fans,

Now that I am ready to buy an interior kit for my MGA...

There is a fellow on eBay that sells a kit at a decent price and I wonder if anyone here has had a dealing with him... the dealer is 'Sports and Classics Inc'...

Any advice is appreciated... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

You got mail

Mark

Check that real careful, find some one that will vouch for his material.

Jack,

I agree. There are several considerations that are important for a kit. Consistency of material color and quality as well as quality of the stitching and alignment...

I had hoped that someone in the forum had purchased a kit from them and could relay a personal anecdote about the purchase...

I may just have an interior shop here in San Diego do the interior rather than buying a kit...

Mark,

You, too, have mail.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

FWIW, the Moss kit in my A is of very high quality. Never mind the hood cover laying behind the seats, it wasn't attached yet.

Steve,

That looks great.. Is it the 'Biscuit' color? My A is black and I want to have a light brown/tan interior..

ALZO, did you do the seats or have it done?

By the way, my search for an MG YA/B has been put on hold until I take care of my Uncle Sam's and Aunt IRiS' needs this year... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

The interior was installed when I got the car so I don't have any specifics. All I know for sure is that it's a Moss kit.

I used a Moss kit in my twincam and would have no problem using them again. The pieces all fit nice, the foams for the back of the seats were "handed" as they should be. All in all a good deal.

heliguy,

Thanks for the comment... I will probably go with the Moss kit since most of the comments that have come my way have been to the positive.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Gotta wait until my Uncle Sam's and Aunt IRiS' needs are met before I start shelling out the $K buck.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wall.gif

I am driving it without interior except for a decent pair of seats.... still loads-o-fun.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

I assume that Moss doesn't make the kit themselves. (Otherwise it wouldn't also be on the LBCarCo@LBCarCo.com website.) Does anyone know who does make it, and if the leather can be a non-original color? If I wanted to match a swatch, could I go directly to the supplier?

I believe it is a proprietary kit made for Moss. LBCarCo just resells Moss stuff most of the time from what I've seen.

Matt,

You can order from Moss a free of charge swatch kit that has samples of the leather and vinyl...Tony can probably help you with this.

They do have a selection of non-original colors for the A..
