Am in blustery New Liskeard, ON. 14 deg. F and windy. Not much snow here but went to Timmins yesterday and there was about 6 inches there. (Did I mention I hate winter)

will post some pics when I get home - particularly the snowy boat in use (lakes aren't frozen) in Temagami. Here's the map - 6 1/2 hours drive.

BTW, passed by a more unusually named community

Oh, and, when I go this far I have to rent a car, which this time is a new Impala. Other than pretty impressive gas mileage, it is pretty bland. Went out this morning to go meet a guy, started, hit fob to unlock rear door to get window scraper, managed to lock said door and, yup, locked keys in a running car. I think I've only ever done this once before. Fortunately I was at my hotel, went in rescheduled meeting and waited for CAA to show. They did 45 min later, but, the guy had a piece of kit called a sully strip. Strap about 2 feet long, an inch wide, nylon, folded and in the centre of the fold was rubber. Slid it between door jamb, put the fold over the lock post and pulled it open - amazing! I have never seen a door opened so quick. Looked up a tow truck website and it is a $5 part with another $10 or so for the wedge to hold open the jamb - might be an addition to my toolbox.
