Previous owner of one of my TR7's used helicoil to repair a cross threaded sparkie. I tried a steel threaded insert, but the hole is too wollowed out to hold. Does any one know of a source for the Big-sert repair kit? They sell a kit to repair ford v8's that blow sparkies and I am pretty sure it will cure my problem head.

yep, that's what i wanted, except I need the big-sert series. one of the local fastner shops is able to order for me.They were listed as a distributor, but didn't know how to get for me. Cost was about $170 for the kit and about $7 per insert.
