Hello out there,
I have heard that the NGK plug is awfully good,so I plan to try them. The car place sells them but they couldn't find anything on a 63 Healey 3000.Could someone tell me which particular NGK plug is recommended? Thanks,Ben /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif

Re: spark plug question

I am using a Bosch RO 281 Super plug in my 64 BJ8. I understand the NKG plug is very good. Perhaps you can use the Bosch number to get the correct NKG plug.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif Hi Ben, it depends to some extent on how you drive your car. However, I think you will be ok with the BP6ES NGK plug.-FWIW---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif

NGK plugs seem to have a wider heat range tolerance per type than some other brands & thus work better for more people than some of the other brands.

Re: spark plug question

I have been using Champion RN12YC plugs in a 1966 BJ8 for 21 years next month.(42000)miles and never had a problem with them.

Re: spark plug question

Golf,
This discussion could go on forever. There are a couple of dozen brands & types that will work just fine. Obviously, all brands have worked for all people. Use whichever makes you feel good. It really isn't an important issue.
