Spare tire question

I carry a cell phone with the towing number on speed dial.. Havn't need it yet.. Maybe just lucky but don't expect or look for trouble..

I have had only 2 flat tires in 30 years of driving and of course one was on the TR6, brand new tires, brand new tubes, drive up to the local mini mart, fill up with gas, come out and the Left rear tire is flat, put the spare on and drive home. go to the local tire store, Sorry we dont work on tires with tubes. Say What?,"Liability" they did help me to get the tube out, go get a tube repair kit, find the hole and patch the tube..go back to the tire store and they helped me get the tire back on the rim. they were more perplexed about the wire wheels, No nails in the tire all I could find was small plastic pieces in the tire that must have wore a small hole in the tube, no flats since then

so a spare tire is alway nice to have or you can get you a set of those tire tools and fix your flat on the side of the road as long as you have a small 12V compressor to inflate it once you repaired it,

so does any one have those long handle tire irons?
