Space Saving Hints?

Good point, David...I've a friend, John Weimer, out in Cape Girardeau, MO who has a tiny 1-car garage where he keeps his '79 MGB & his BMW motorcycle...up in front of the car, he has some spare body panels hanging fron the walls....one day we were out looking at his bike. He closed the door & we heard a big "BANG"...when he opened it, we saw a fender laying across his B...had to redo part of the front end - & his body was perfect (as any of you who know JDW would attest)....so, it isn't necessarily just an earthquake that can cause items to topple off!

Good point.

When the panels aren't hanging on the wall they'll be on the car. The problem solves itself.

All I need do in the meantime is just be careful and not bump them with anything hard or sharp while I walk past.

My own clumsiness and inattention - that's a much greater threat than a earthquake...

Greg - As I said, people on the West Coast, especially in Southern California know what it is all about. My wife and I both went to Cal State at Northridge (known as San Fernando Valley State College back in the 60s) where a lot of that kind of damage occured during the Northridge quake. Actually, those apartment buildings are near CSUN. I remember seeing them after the quake. There were a lot of poorly-built apartments in that area that partially collapsed.
