Need source, hopefully US, for Whitworth-BSF screws for Jaguar. British Tools & Fasteners in N.Y., doesn't have them. Specifically, I need the short(1/4") brass screws which hold the windscreen frames together and the 1" chrome plated domed,countersunk, slotted machine screws which fasten the floor of the boot(trunk).

Well, I was going to suggest BT&F, but you already tried that. You might want to email David Beales (sorry in UK) d.beales@ntlworld.com
David is a Daimler specialst and Daimlers (older ones like I have) use lots of whitworth, so he may be able to steer you in the right direction.
