Source for Motor Mounts for 1275 engine?

Wondering if anyone else is having problems with the rubber motor mounts used in the front of the engine? The ones I used for Moss Motors tend to
split (Rubber seperates from the metal) while I'm screwing down the bolts.

Am I doing something wrong or is it the quality of the rubber? Anyone have another source?

thanks..

We just had a similar problem about two weeks ago, but I do not remember the title of the thread.

Hi Bruce,
British Parts Northwest sells the front motor mounts. I can't speak to the quality of this particular part but I've purchased other items from them in the past and they most assuredly stand behind their products. Further, they're a site sponsor.

Healeyboz had a thread titled BAD NEWS. Involved a Fan shattering and bad motor mounts. Bottom line is that Moss Motors buys their mounts from moss motors UK, other places have Beck/Arnley mounts. Think I'll look for those...thanks..

Bruce, I had the same issue as you saw in the thread. I ordered the new mounts through VB and they are Beck / Arnley. They seem to be holding nicely. I only replace the side that split. I think I might go ahead and replace the other side as well. You need to call Moss and let them know what happened. They did not have a record of this being a problem. Let me know what they say. I will call them again after you do.

If anyone has these mounts from Moss I highly recommend that you do not use them!! Get them through VB and send the Moss mounts back. It cost me quite a bit and could have been a lot worse!
