Anyone know of a source for Ferrari 328 distributor cap and rotors?

This is the V-8 engine with two 4 cyl distributor caps.

My friend has his rotor and caps dying(after 128K miles). And replacement parts(from what we can find) are supero expensive.

Can anyone say 700 dollars?

If anyone knows of a source of cap and rotor for less money, but with comparable quality, please lemme know.

Aloha

He can just send me the car, and I'll buy some new caps for it - hehehehehehe.

It is strange that Kenny replied with his picture of an Alfa in his post, because the first thing I thought of was 4 cyl. Alfa parts. I know, years ago that U-joints in a Ferrari were interchangable with Alfa parts at a MUCH more reasonable cost!!! Might be a place to start looking (and also Fiat parts have a fair amount of interchangability too, most Italian ign. parts are of Marelli origins!)!

my alfa is bosch ignition. After doing a little research lastnight before bed. It appears that $800-$900 is the going rate for a good ferrari shop to replace the caps and rotors for you. However, if it was my Ferrari, I'd just go ahead and have a major service done for about $3000-$4000 which includes most everything you can thing of, including new engine seals. Piece of mind ya know.

yeah, we just did seals, belts, water pump, gaskets, etc... Fuel system, just gotta get the ignition cleaned up.

Marelli or Bosch, Ron? I.D. tag on th' unit(s)? Mebbe there's a cross reference for an Alfa cap... I can't envision 'em bothering to use a totally proprietary cap/rotor.

otherwise google used ferrari parts - lots of links. Even car-part.com has a 308 in its data base
