ANy thoughts on the best way to go here? Getting ready to put my new (Moss) door panels on.

Well they don't slam with a huge 'thunk' like old Dad's Studebaker but I never minded the sound of the TR3 door closing. Once closed I hear no rattles or other sounds that would be changed by sound deadening material in there.

I'm not sure sound-deadening is that important in a car with cut-down doors & side-curtains... heat insulation OTOH is a useful thing.

I saw this product in a magazine, unfortunately they don't have precut pattern for TR3

I have been using a product called "Peel and Seal" from Lowes. It is sold as a roof repair item, but it's basiclly the same stuff as Fatmat and Dynomat and its a fraction of the price. It has a 40 mil asphault base covered with an aluminum foil top. It is adhesive backed so you just peel it off and stick it where you want it. $10/roll.
