Boy if there was ever a survivor to just clean up and drive that's it - I hope it isn't purchased to be "restored."

VERY NICE!!

My Grandfather used to drive one just like this "back in the day" in Warrington, GB. :driving:

He was a fairly successful businessman for the area, & always drove a nice new Daimler.

My mother says that I inherited his passion for cars...

I wish I had the spare $$ right now, as I'd Snap That One Up!

"Cheers!"

It is "getting up there"!!

Last time I checked it was at $17.1K with 3 very interested bidders!

Still has almost 2 days left.

I'd bet it get's closer to $25K before all is said & done....
(anyone else willing to take a guess at the selling price??)

Nice to see a well preserved example get the interest it deserves!

(Wish I had the spare "play money" right now, as I WOULD be joining the bidding...)

BEST OF LUCK to anyone on here who is bidding!
Be sure to let us all know if you win!!

"Cheers!"

Well, if you sell some of your collection and want a SP, my driver 101059 car "should" be available in late Spring...that's the expected finish date for my 100849 restoration. We've gotten to the point of choosing headlights and sourcing washer fluid bottles, so I think the interior installation is the next big hurdle. Will only be a few months shy of 4 years.

Possibly...

I'm selling "unused toys" to help pay for a recent house purchase & a planned workshop addition. (the current 22'x52' shop simply isn't big enuf!)

Gotta have a place to store & work on all the toys before I buy any more....

Now if I could only sell the other house up in MI, I'd be all set to add to the collection... (But that's probably not gonna happen for a couple of years...)

Be sure to share pics of #849 when she is all done!!

"Cheers!"

Gone @ 18100.00

IMHO, someone bought that right. Today's reality is that there is no way to avoid being upside down value wise if any significant restoration is done..but then again we don't own these to "fix & flip".

IMHO seems like a pretty good deal for such a well preserved example!

New owner can do a little maintenance on it, drive it for awhile, and get TONS of compliments & envious looks! :driving:

Then a few years down the road he could opt to do a full restoration.

I'm jealous....

Anyone have a suggestion for a leather wrapped banjo type steering wheel source?? With R&P going in I don't need the leverage of the big SP wheel, and will enjoy the extra room at the bottom.

:savewave:-----

I Don;t know why anyone would want one of those fishey lookin plasticy cars,---Keoke---

Ahhh, it's so nice to have you back. I almost posted a welcome back comment on the AH board but couldn't bring myself to read about those underpowered, overweight trailer queens.

Hey, I resemble that remark!

I'm not sure the hub size on your dart, but something to consider is if you have a spare wheel you can have it cut down by pearlcraft in OZ.
