MGB Sorry... Urgent Request for Friend - Marina Front Engine Plate

I know board etiquette dictates that we not post "wanted" in the regular part of the board. However, this is a fairly urgent request and I need to get "eyes" on it.

A friend of mine runs an Austin Marina in Lemons racing. They are running an MGB engine in the car and are building a spare engine for this season. They have all the engine parts they need for the B... except to drop the engine in the Marina they need a MARINA front plate for the MGB engine.

Would any of you have possibly taken this the other direction and stripped a Marina engine for parts and happen to have a Marina front plate for the B-series engine? Any source or leads will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Doug L.

Get up with Glenn Towery in Delaware. I saw one in his yard last month. Might work out! I can get his number for you if needed. Bob

I heard from my friend that he has found a workaround so he can continue with the engine build. The immediate need for the front plate had been addressed.

Thanks very much for the contact. You never know when the next "urgent request" will come about. I will forward the name to my friend. If you don't think he will be able to find Glen Towery through a web search, please do forward me his contact information via P.M.

Thanks again,
Doug L.

The front plate for a Marina is the same as a rubber bumper MGB. Same part # . 12H3858 or something like that. All the brackets are different. I did have at least two plates with Marina hardware but they were probably tossed.
